Emerald Freight Express are very pleased to extend congratulations to our Projects Cargo Manager – Audrey Hughes BA FICS. Audrey recently qualified as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (M.I.C.S.). She volunteered to study for this qualification over the course of the past 5 years. We are delighted to celebrate her great success and achievement.
Audrey’s success will further enhance our capability to handle Charter enquiries by Air and Ocean to and from Ireland. We look forward to expanding our business in this sector in the near future.
Project Cargo
Project Cargo is defined when shipments fall into a special category which require study and focus on the customer’s specific service requirements. It can often be the case when the type of cargo dictates special attention. Products such as – Perishables requiring special equipment e.g. Ocean Reefer Containers with Gensets. Envirotainer’s for Airfreight moves with temperature loggers, or in some cases cold chain applications such as Dry Ice or Thermal Blankets to retain the required temperature while shipments are in transit.
Some shipments require special handling and loading equipment depending on the nature, weight and dimensions. In some cases we have to research to find the best logistical solution for our client. Where possible we offer a range of options and indicative costings to help our client decide on the most viable solution to meet their service expectations and freight budget.
In some cases special documentation is required for Export and Import Customs purposes. The reason being, is to ensure compliance with trade regulations here in Ireland and the destination country overseas. This is where Audrey excels and takes care our customer’s service requirements from start to finish giving assurance and peace of mind to our clients.
